CTE TECH obtains DEKRA ISO/SAE 21434 automotive cybersecurity certification, strengthening cybersecurity management for automotive clusters

As automotive instrument clusters advance toward digitalization and intelligence, clusters are no longer merely interfaces showing vehicle speed and status; the product development process must also integrate cybersecurity risk management for automotive electronic systems. CTE TECH CORP. (hereinafter referred to as "CTE TECH") has successfully passed DEKRA's independent assessment and obtained the ISO/SAE 21434 automotive cybersecurity certificate, covering processes across development, production, procurement, and operations.

ISO/SAE 21434 is an international standard for automotive cybersecurity engineering, focusing on enabling organizations to identify, assess, and manage cybersecurity risks throughout the product lifecycle. For automotive component suppliers, cybersecurity management entails not only product engineering and design, but also supplier collaboration, manufacturing, and operational maintenance—ensuring cross-functional execution aligned with uniform criteria while maintaining full traceability.

CTE has long been dedicated to automotive instrument clusters, wiring harnesses, and related design services, with product applications spanning passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and other mobility solutions, providing customized display clusters and automotive electronics solutions. As instrument cluster functionalities continue to evolve, OEM requirements for suppliers have extended from product quality and delivery performance to robust cybersecurity governance within the development workflow. Achieving this ISO/SAE 21434 certification demonstrates that CTE has embedded these requirements into cross-departmental operations, establishing a more rigorous management framework for future product development and customer collaborations.

CTE stated: "Automotive instrument clusters represent a vital product line to which CTE has long been committed. As cluster functionalities and electronic systems grow increasingly sophisticated, we must enforce cybersecurity standards right from early R&D through procurement, manufacturing, and post-production operations. Earning this certification marks a significant milestone in elevating our automotive electronic development capabilities, allowing us to address client expectations with a clear, traceable process."

Aaron Lee, Managing Director of DEKRA Taiwan, remarked: "Automotive cybersecurity must be built into the development process from inception rather than addressed as an afterthought once the product is finalized. For suppliers of instrument clusters and electronic components, well-defined risk management frameworks and cross-departmental collaboration are essential to integrating cybersecurity into day-to-day operations. CTE’s successful evaluation reflects the ongoing effort among Taiwanese automotive component manufacturers to elevate their competencies to meet the industry’s heightened demands for product security and supply chain integrity."
